TOM DE NEEF
SUPRATON // JACKSQUAD // BELGIUM
DJ, producer and label owner Tom de Neef obviously likes his music to do the talking. Whenever you see him or talk to him you notice within a few seconds, that he is really in love with music. And, whilst freely running the gamut from funk-fuelled disco to tough tech-house, the music that he plays as a DJ is as dynamic and diverse as the music that he produces at his studio in Antwerp, Belgium. Tom de Neef knows exactly how to make dance floors come alive and it’s a testament to his talent and passion for performing that his DJ residencies around the world include Roger Sanchez’ Stealth parties, Hed Kandi events and club "Noxx" in Antwerp. However, despite such club-thumping achievements, some – including Roger Sanchez – still think that he is ‘underrated’.
Tom de Neef released several big hits including collaborations with Laidback Luke, Baggi Begovic and others and as a remixer he worked for artists such as Kylie Minogue, Dennis Ferrer, X-Press2, Roger Sanchez, The Shapeshifters, Full Intention, Kings of Tomorrow and many more.
While a foray into Techhouse under the name “Villanord" called "Futurescope” won support from Laurent Garnier and Jack de Marseille, and Tom de Neef's tech-tinged workouts as “Behemoth” found favour with the likes of X-Press 2 and D’Julz. Tom de Neef released his tracks on illustrious labels such as Stealth, Fluential, Defected, ID&T, Eye Industries and Phonetic.
In 2007 Tom de Neef started his own label Jacksquad, which became a highly respected imprint for quality house music within a short period of time.
